I have a giant splash cochins roo for sale. 14 Months old Breed quality. He is very large and very sweet. The 2 roos are too much for the current hens.

I can sell him with 2 hens to make a trio if you would like to start your own flock. I will be at the Concord Agway swap Saturday. If anyone is interested you will need to let me know. I will only bring him if he is sold.

I can also bring hatching eggs. I have a few requested already.
Blue Black and Splash Cochins
BBS Marans
Olive Egg Layers (Marans over Ameraucanas)

Mixes:
Marans over BLRW
Light Brahma over Australorps
Light Brahma over White Leghorns

Can not wait to see everyone on Saturday!!

What a crazy day!!! Sooo. I went to TSC for something (not really sure what) and came home with 32- 2 week old white pullets! While hubby was taking the 3 boxes out of my truck, one of the boxes fell open all over the floor! I had only asked for a total of 30 chicks so when hubby picked them all up (including the one he had to climb under the truck to rescue) and I counted into the brooder I was excited to learn I had 31 girls! (someone should have counted better at TSC) Hours later, when all small people were in bed, we decided we needed stuff at Walmart! Big man was left baby-sitting and off we went! Driving down the street and I am hearing this familiar noise! Honey, do you hear that??? NO!!! I really do though! So I turn on the lights and start looking around!Imagine my surprise to see a little white baby roosting on my sons carseat!

(Guess that girl really can't count!!!!!) She got to take a little trip to Walmart snuggled in my hubbies neck! Cutest thing ever!!!!!

did you get my PM? On the Roo?

I need to find my lovely little 5 month old silver-laced bantam cochin roo a home... there's a chance I can make it to the swap this Saturday if anyone is interested, but I just read the rules and I have a few questions/clarifications...

1. If I'm just bringing him to the swap to give to a specific person that I've arranged to meet there, do I still need a vendor spot? (I don't have any other birds/stuff to sell at the moment)
2. He'll be 5 months on Apr 1st, so he has not yet been NPIP tested. However I will be coming from out of state... So assuming I will be meeting someone there to give him to, and not selling as a vendor, would he need to be tested, or would I still need to bring my NPIP certificate? What about having the NH Entry Permit?

Thanks for any help with these details!

Assuming I can legally bring him to the event, please let me know if anyone's interested, and I'll bring him up! Thanks!

the department of agriculture tracks ALL animal transfers at chicken swaps. you need to get an entry permit to legally cross into NH. you would have to sign in and get a buyers sheet just like anyone else who has animals. you would need to bring your npip card along with a photocopy for my records.
he is under 5 mos and comes from a npip flock so does not need a band. If you wanted to bring him any time after april 1 he would need to be banded.
we frequently have department of agriculture people at the swaps so there will be no rule bending this year. as much as I wish I could help people out it is not possible with so many animals in a small area that could be exposed if someone was to show up with a bird that was a carrier. don't forget that a bird that looks perfectly healthy can be a carrier. that is why all the vendors are npip tested.
