>>>>Insert Green Monster Here<<<< I will be over soon with my pile of hatching eggs!! lol

I wanted one of every color of Standard Cochins. the Hatchery made me buy 5 of every color to get them. if anyone is interested in buying any Standard Cochin chicks all Pullets, let me know. I will get them the middle of May.

the department of agriculture tracks ALL animal transfers at chicken swaps. you need to get an entry permit to legally cross into NH. you would have to sign in and get a buyers sheet just like anyone else who has animals. you would need to bring your npip card along with a photocopy for my records.
he is under 5 mos and comes from a npip flock so does not need a band. If you wanted to bring him any time after april 1 he would need to be banded.
we frequently have department of agriculture people at the swaps so there will be no rule bending this year. as much as I wish I could help people out it is not possible with so many animals in a small area that could be exposed if someone was to show up with a bird that was a carrier. don't forget that a bird that looks perfectly healthy can be a carrier. that is why all the vendors are npip tested.

Fantastic - thank you for that info!

(To be clear, I wanted to check *specifically* so I don't break the rules! We have them because they help all of our birds stay healthy, and I'm totally on board with that!
