Thanks everyone for the bunny support. I Got to talk to the petstore owner today. He wanted to do an autopsy on the bunny before he'd give us our.money back. I was like, seriously? So I drove a frozen bunny in a bag to Plymouth and await CSI's results. What a dink. As for the bunny he was in air condition house, only had alfalfa pellets, timothy hay, the snack bar the tractor supply bunny cage comes with and a strawberry two days prior... And always a water bowl.

As most of you have seen my kids, they are little and weren't happy. I knew when we bought it, I should have waited for the chicken swap. Daddy gave in. I will let you all know what CSI says and probably buy a new one from someone on here. I don't know how you all make enough money to cover your gas costs, but glad you're around.

On a related note, my dog sounds like he has kennel cough for first time in 4 years. I hope it isn't related to the bunny or men in space suits from the health department may tent my house. The turkeys and chickens we Got from you all are growing like weeds. Thanks folks

So sorry for your bunny loss. If you get another especialy a young one. IT is best to limit treats or do not feed treats at all. Rabbits do well on free choice grass hay as a suppliment only to a total diet rabbit pellet like MannaPro sold at TSC. The richness if other things throws their digestive track off very quickly.
I hope your next bunny has a long healthy life with your
family. Snuggly bunnies are so great! And you just never know what the pet store has.

We still don't understand why you can't have the chickenswap and after that is done do the roundup for all the unwanted roosters.
The regular chicken vendors are losing out on a swap next week now. We need to move chicks!!!!

Nanna, what do you have left ? I lost another hen to something yesterday, must have been an owl. as I was out all day keeping watch as I did chores & spent good time sitting with them giving treats. I noticed this morn she was not in the coop.I don't think I can make the 7th. meant to contact you & April yesterday about being available today. ??

It was mentioned that someone at the swap on Saturday had russian orloff's ~ Did you sell them ? still have them ? where are you located?
was hoping to beable to some chickens today , having no luck.. anyone close to Haverhill NH?

All right I have to ask.If your birds need to be tested before any event, then how can you have a rooster round up with untested birds? How does this round up work? You release roosters and people chase and catch them? Then they go home pick up thier birds at home and what? Now you've exposed your tested birds to who knows what.I think this is a very bad idea and practice for any group or club.If birds are required to be tested, this means for every event not just the ones someone chooses.

Tony, The rooster round up, is where people bring their unwanted roo's & there is a man that will be there to take them, I believe it's a few bucks a Roo. If I am remembering correctly. I don't know if the Roo's have to B tested, since I think the Roo's will be put in the freezer.

They should all have to be tested if they leave your yard and go to someone elses, even if they are going to end up in the freezer. If (supposibly)the state requires all birds to be tested, then none are exempt.

Yes they should :) . I don't think the state requires them to be tested, I think it's for selling, showing & going over state lines. Other wise it's a personal choice. Some states I think do require testing.
This is the 1st yr I have mine tested because I want to attend the swaps & I sell eggs & to make sure my chickens are healthy
