What do your chickens wear?

These sweaters are all available on Etsy, I kid you not. No, none are mine and I do not make or sell chicken apparel

Sweaters aren't needed for chickens in the winter. Feathers act as sweaters.

Chickens can take below freezing weather. They have down jackets of their own. Even when it was -20º here, my chickens did just fine.
So again, no. These outfits are great for photo ops. Costume contests on BYC for example. A town near us has an annual chicken pageant. These girls would win for sure!

They're cute for a quick picture but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that they can actually make them colder by reducing their ability to puff up their feathers when it's cold out.

I think my girls would never forgive me if I made them pose for photos wearing sweaters. Very undignified for our fine feathered friends
