I have a hen that I hatched back in April. She has a crooked beak but is doing just fine. She's not as big as the other hens so I wanted to get her some chicken sweaters to keep her warm through the winter. Does anyone know where I can buy them? I can't knit to save my life!

Wow, never heard of that before, I learn something new everyday on this site.

Nope......I'm VERY serious. Apparently, a knitting group in the UK (I'm British) started knitting these sweaters (or jumpers as the Brits would call them) for rescued battery farm chickens and they are now known worldwide.

haven't seen them for sale, but I made one once... we had a frizzle rooster that was so frizzle he grew almost no fluff on the feathers, just the center ridge. kind of like a chicken porcupine. made him a sweater out of water resistant fleece and a terry-cloth hand towel. he only lived 18 months, but at least he didn't die of cold during the winter.

Yeah........! That's it! Thanks for posting the pic! I would love to buy some! If only I could find someone selling them!
