The white stuff in the eye was likely pus. Flush the eye well with saline, remove all the pus you can see, then apply an ophthalmic ointment like Terramycin to the eye 2X a day.

Swelling of the eye(s) can be from a number of things-dirt/debris, injury and respiratory illness are a few common causes. If the swelling doesn't decrease or she worsens after you have treated the eye/removed the pus, then she may need antibiotics. Seeking vet care is always best.

Are you seeing just the third eyelid or the lower eyelid? Are you sure there is pus or goop in inside the eye? Wyorp Rock has given you good advice if there is pus in the swollen eye. The picture below is of the lower eyelid being closed:

This is exactly how her eye looks but I don’t see anything that is with the third eye lid

I tried to wash it out earlyer with saline but I don’t know weather this is a eye infection or something else I read said it might be worms

Eye worms are pretty rare, and in mostly tropical regions. They are mostly where the Surinam cockroach is found, since that is a host. Chickens with eye worm will scratch at their eyes. Eye infections and respiratory infections are much more common. The Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store, or plain Neosporin ointment can be used in the eye twice a day.

Ok thank you!
