Chicken tearing up it's neck!!

Chicken is 4 1/2 weeks old and it's tearing up its own neck. Scratching and pecking at it. Blood everywhere.
HELP!!!

Are there mites or lice? Permethrin and other poultry dusts or ivermectin can get rid of mites. Try to find out why she's picking (?)

You may also try Blu-Kote (or similar) over the wounds afterward-- it prevents / discourages picking and helps to heal.

They are only 4 1/2 weeks old, we have been dusting the coop and run but not the birds.
Going to go get some wound treatment in the morning if he's still alive. We put some cortisone on it and put him in a cat carrier to keep him away from the other peckers.

Do you have any triple antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin) without painkiller in it? Also, Vet RX or other oily stuff like Vaseline will drown the mites, if that is indeed the problem.
