our chicken Luna keeps panting, we have brought her inside with air conditioning, given her water, we don't know what else to do. She also has a very squishy and saggy crop. Any help will be appreciated!

She may just be hot and drinking a lot of water. Did she stop panting after a while in the a/c? Is her crop emitting a bad odor? If she's just hot, you might want to search this site for things you can do to help keep your birds cooler in the heat. If her crop is emitting a foul odor, she very well might have sour crop. You can search this site for what to do. I personally have never had to deal with it.

Hi, sadly she passed away yesterday. RIP. But she didn't stop panting in the cool air or water, we thought it may have been cocci because she started having foamy yellow poops and she was very weak. But when I went to check on her in the coop at night she was laying there dead. It's a horrible feeling seeing your chicken dead after you tried so hard to help.

So sorry to hear this. We do get attached, don't we. It would have been nice if she was just really hot. You should treat your other birds, don't you think?
