Chicken thinks I’m her mum/dad maybe?

This is pretty common in young chicks.
It generally means that the chick is friendly if it allows you to do this. That doesn’t mean it would think you’re his mom/dad…
She cries when I leave the room aswell what does that mean ?
 
It could mean that (s)he is just dependent on you if there is no one else around.

Technically, you could say (s)he thinks you’re her mom/dad…

Is this chick the only chick? Does the chick live with you?
She has 2 other chicks , she doesn’t cry when she is with them but when I take her out and leave her to sleep she wonders where I am and cry’s , even if someone else is in the room when I’m not there she still cries.
