Chicken Throwing up

I was picking up a chicken by the chest and tail when alot of liquid came from the chickens mouth.I have never had this happen could it be from me picking it up?.Is this normal if you are picking up a chicken?.I also felt the chickens chest it was really squishy it felt like there was alot of water and some food,but not much.

I have had this happen too when picking up a juvenile.
Chickens don't normally regurgitate.
That being said, if you bird just had a drink before you picked it up, it could release some water mixed with bits of food from the crop.

You may have squeezed on the crop when it was full of water and food. But I would check her out again later, and look for a puffy crop and sour odor, and recheck in early AM before she has eaten or drunk. The crop should then be empty in the morning.
