So one of my chicks, from the time I brought her home, had 'bent' toes. She has never appeared to be in any physical pain, and it doesn't look like it impairs her ability to do anything. She, like the rest of the flock of 6, is just over 8 weeks old.

Sometimes when she's standing, they look normal, so it's almost like a double jointed chicken toe on each side. Since I'm a beginner on the backyard chickens, I thought I'd bring this up for anyone that might offer some experienced knowledge on the matter.

Thanks! And I welcome any questions if I didn't provide enough.

Just like humans chickens have birth defects occasionally. If shes happy and healthy Just go with it. Ive had extra toes on some silkie crosses and splay leg on a couple i hatched last month.

Thanks.....that's pretty much what I'm thinking, but thought it would make me feel better to have a veteran (such as yourself) to reaffirm that
