Hello flock. My girl Curly was born with this toe on her right foot. She gets around ok has no trouble walking. She is a bit clunky when coming off and on the perch and going up steps but once up there she is fine. QUESTION: Is there a gentle way to correct this? I am going to trim her nail because it does not wear down properly. Going on 40weeks. I probably should have asked this when she was younger but I am a newby and wasn't sure if it would stay that way. I think she is okay living out her life this way and she is a super sweet awesome egg layer so we love her anyway. Thanks.

Right after hatch or up to 7 days old this could have been corrected, by now it is too late.

Trimming her nails regularly is the only thing you can do.
