Just sharing my experience/thoughts...I made a 6'x12'x2' Salatin - type tractor because of what I had for materials. For the dolly/mover I approached the local high school industrial tech teacher as I knew his welding students were always looking for projects. For only the cost of materials I got a "mover" made just like Salatin's.

I designed and built a 6x12x2 of a PVC frame that I very much like for my 12 birds. It locks up at night and provides good shade with the tarp over the top of much of it. And even my wife likes the look of it - she hated the old broken down wood one we used before. Pic below and plans in sig.

I got a hold of some scrap lumber and from what is precut I can make a couple of 4' x 8' tractors two feet high. How many Cornish cross do you think would work in each of them? I would be moving them every day for fresh forage and keeping them in feed during the day.
