I don't ever move any of my tractors with my chickens in them. I'd be too worried about accidents, plus there's no reason for me to do it. My chickens learned the routine very quickly, and it's unbelieveably easy to move them around from pen to pen.
I herd them, using something long handled in each hand. Could be a couple of those swimming pool noodles, or a dustpan and rake combo that I use in the run...whatever is handy. As soon as they figure out which of their pens I'm wanting them to go to, they go right in. I do have to close the door to any of the other pens, though, or they might scoot in there instead.
We have one chicken, "Wrong Way" Scooter, that tends to...you guessed it....go the wrong way, but the rest of them really stick together.
