Chicken tractor size

Most people on here seem to talk about needing 4sqft/chicken inside the coop. I have just over 3. I think the number is probably misleading or oversimplifying. I believe it's more important to have enough roost space since that is where they spend most of their time in the coop. I have plenty in my tractor.

i am in the process of buiding a chicken tractor myself, i am gonna give try to give 12 chickens 4 sqft a piece

(7ft * 7ft square) i aint gonna worry about size or weight because i have an actual tractor to move it around with?

mine is to keep chickens off melons and sweet corn untill harvested, will have nesting boxes, roast and cover. building mine with what lumber i have laying around

I have a couple 4x8 tractors on wheels that work great with nesting boxes, roosts, and feed/ water troughs. I suppose by the "4ft rule" each one could hold 8, and I had put 8 in there on occasion, but it just seems crowded to me. 4-6 seem quite happy in that size.

i guess to call it a chicken tractor would silly its gonna be a chicken tailer for the tractor. i have old lawn mower wheels and a parking brake i plan to mount it wont be 7*7 but more like 5ft wide by 10ft long.(just tore out a salvaged an old hay loft from my barn)dred trying to drive a nail in 100+ year old oak and popular even with drilled pilot holes.

ever try to burn it in wood burning stove?

put just a little in there and our stove was overfireing so bad i thought the house was gonna go up
