Chicken tractors and portable coops!

Don't threaten chickens with being eaten.
I NEVER IMPLIED THAT... WHAT I MEANT WAS RELEASED INTO A NICER PLACE.

Very nice. Yes it is pricey, but unless you make something yourself, and shop around for discount materials, everything costs cash.
Here in the USA, we would have to modify slightly. You do not have a pet we often encounter here. Would need to install a 2 foot high at ground level, 1/2 inch , (13mm for those in the rest of the metric world) hardware cloth.
Here is my pet in question. :gig

Yes, I agree, we don’t get those here. However I do have the whole run enclosed with a 1.2 metre electric fence. It’s run directly off of the main electrics, not batteries, as we have both foxes and, from late September to early April, idiotic hunters and their packs of hunting dogs that they cannot manage - they let them run loose.

Is the electric fence intended for for the IDIOTIC HUNTERS,,,,,,,, or their Little puppy dogs,,,,,,,:idunno,,,,,:lau:gig,,,,,,,,

If I did not make you chuckle at least a little, then I consider the day a total loss,,,,,:wee

Yes I’ve checked the local zoning laws and I’m going to contact he code enforcer this week, the only thing the city ordinances stated was you can’t have fowl within 100 feet of a residence for commercial purposes. And cannot sell dyed chicks. I will of course check with my neighbors so they are aware and if there are any problems we can find middle ground,

The property is in a subdivision but I have a double lot, I would say it’s an acre and half of not 2 acres

If you are in compliance with zoning then I would NOT ask neighbors for input. I would build a nice fence the week I moved in, then build a shed/coop and then get my chickens when I was ready, not the neighbors business

Good luck.

Gary
