Just wondering if you can attach a chicken tractor to another chicken tractor. I have one but would like to see if I can attach one to the front and pull them both. Here's a picture of the one I built.

The front is on the right with a man door and the back has a big door for me to clean out the coop every morning. Works great I just want more chickens.

As long as you have the coupling devices and trailer frames you should be able to hook them together just like a set of double trailers you see on the road pulled by a semi. I assume you have a tractor or large truck to do the towing. Should be fine.

I was wondering if the chickens would go and roost all in one or all in the other or would they separate themselves in half to take full advantage of the second coop. Thanks for the input

Hi their neighbor, I am from Palmerston Ont. I am planning to build a bantam breeding barn on a hay wagon, A lot like yours but with a row of windows in the front, is it tipsy at all, any tips for the construction, e.t.c.
Thanks.

Nice to see some one close to home. If I were to build it again I would start to build it on the wagon with all four wheels on it. I started before I had the rack ready so my coop had everything except the roof on it when we jacked it up to roll the rack underneath. My next one will be a hay wagon rack that is a little bit wider and ten feet longer. Good luck with your and no mine is not tipsy just drive slowly when moving it.

Keeping them locked up inside the coop for a week should get them to know that is home. Maybe put some sort of temporary fencing up so they can only be around and go int the desired coop. Then after a week or two they should go to that one on their own. You will of course have the rebels in a group that large.

It would be cool if i could completely separate groups of chickens without having a fence. On one side have Plymouth's and the other Rode Island Red and have them not change coops. I will tell you next spring how it works out. I am starting to build coop this winter the same way as my first one.
