Chicken tractors do not offer good protection from predators

Interesting thread to come across (5yrs later?) as I have been looking into Cackellacs. I imagine they talk about it being predator proof as in, from hawks, but not from creatures that could get through the tarp, or underneath. If I get one the creatures would only be in there during the day and would be in a secure coop at night. But I still worry about creatures that would dig under...

I noticed this is an older thread. I wonder how the OP made out. I lost 14 birds one night several years ago to a bobcat. I put electric wires around all of the coops and pens. Then I had issues with a GHO (owl) and put good heavy duty netting over all of the pens. I had a fox dig under a gate and kill several birds so I put concrete under all of the gates. I had also invested in some game cameras and put them up around on my property and was surprised at the predators that roam here at night especially. Most nights I get a predator on at least one of the cameras. Our first coop we put on skids so we could move it around. It works well for awhile but we did eventually put it in a place where it's still at today but over the years have built other coops so now we have kind of a compound of coops and pens.
