All the better. And if ur unable to access sunflower seeds??
In cold winter I cook some oats to keep up spirits. Mine love apples and would fight for the beef. I've heard a lot of simple carbs isn't good for them so I wont give rice or bread. Probably not oranges or bananas. My girls are in need of some treats and I’m quite stuck on what to give them
Any treats to give my chickens in the morning???
I currently have:
-Oats (LOTS!!)
-Apples/oranges/plums
-Plain yogurt
-Bread
-A variety of veg including sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes and onions
-Beef and rice leftover from lunch today
Any ideas???
Yes me keeping the treats to a bare minimum!!In cold winter I cook some oats to keep up spirits. Mine love apples and would fight for the beef. I've heard a lot of simple carbs isn't good for them so I wont give rice or bread. Probably not oranges or bananas.
Yogurt is great and grapes. Mine wont care for the peppers but would eat when I'm gone.
As others have stated treats should be minimum.
Treats are ok in moderation. No more than 1 tsbsp. Per chickenI’m quite been to chickens so I didn’t know this![]()
