We built our coop this spring. After construction, I felt like I was on an episode of "Pimp My Coop" and kept wanting to add on features or dream up fun possibilities for the future. I built a few perch bars and then had this random idea to make a "treehouse" for the chickens. Maybe I was too ambitious but the chickens aren't too interested in the treehouse (tear drop emoji). I've placed them on the ramp, on top of the platform, even used treats (it was a temporary fix but the bird hopped off). I wonder if they don't feel safe up there? Like should I add side enclosures so they feel as though it's a nesting box or something on the back so they don't feel as though a hawk will pick them off? Maybe it's the inner boy in me but I think it's cool and if I was a chicken, I'd be up there all the time. Ha! But chickens have their own unique behaviors and priorities. This is completely a selfish idea...I just want to see them perched up there loving life! Thoughts? Thanks! Tim
