None are right. Here's a hint. Frugal chickens would lay lots of eggs for less feed.

Trick question! It really can't be one set breed because everybody has a different number of eggs they want their hens to lay and different levels of frugality. If that's not right I'd say any breed that is good at foraging, like a Welsummer, Marans, Brahma, etc, so the owners would not have to pay as much for feed as they would for a Sex-Link, Cochin, or Cornish.

and White Leghorn, Ancona's and Dorkings are great at turning little feed into alot of eggs.
Sex - Links lay a HEAP of eggs but they eat ALOT.
Cochins, eat alot and don't lay much. So they would be the worst.
