Chicken trying to make noise, but can't

I have a broody hen named Chickadee. Yesterday I went to check on her. I saw that she was trying to make a broody noise, but only air came out. Does she need water?

Hey red rooster!

I have a hen named Buttercup. She isn't broody but I hav seen her trying to make a noise but is unable to and only air omes out. BUt then the next minute when it finishes laying an egg, it comes running to me jumping up and down

and Making really loud noises wich made me doubt something was wrong. Pay attention to it and see if it can make any normal noises.
