Why not some of both? You will wish you did. I have Orpingtons, love, love, love them! Gentle, friendly birds. But I wish I had some Easter Eggers. I really want some blue/green eggs!

Of the two I would say the EE's. I really don't care for the Orpingtons I have. One of my three has a good attitude. And one keep a runny butt no matter what I do.

Most people will swear by their orpingtons. Almost everyone I know that has them loves their personalities and charm. EE's can be flighty and strange. I wouldn't settle for either or. I would get both
