Hello, I have a young hen that has been having problems for some time now and I've tried a bunch of different things. She is pale, her manure is whitish, she moves her head and upper body like there is something in her belly???? Very strange. I don't know a lot about chickens but her pouch is liquidy???? I've tried sugary products to see if she was anemic and didn't seem to help, so that's out. I gave her sulmet, no go, vet rx, no go. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to BYC. Do you mean that her crop is full? Or is the lower belly full? Has she had a sour or foul odor from her beak that could be sour crop? Does the crop feel hard, soft, empty, or balloon-like? Is she eating and drinking? Do you feed her yogurt or probiotics? Has she been wormed recently? I would use some electrolytes and probiotics in her water now. Get back to us about her symptoms.

It feels watery like..... Balloon like. I can give her some yogurt and electrolytes and probiotics. She was eating and drinking but now not at all. She seemed to rally and then back down again. How do I worm her?

Valbazen 1/2 ml or cc orally and then repeat in 10 days, or you can use fenbendazole 10% (SafeGuard, Panacur) 1/4 ml (for a bantam) orally for 3-5 days in a row.How old is she? Has she laid eggs? A crop can be slow emptying whenever they are sick from other illnesses, so a full crop is not always sour crop. . If there is a sour or foul odor from her beak or she is vomiting a brown liquid, it could be sour crop. Here is some good info on crop problems:
