Chicken voice changing

I've had my new chickens for about ten weeks now and one of their voices has gotten a little deeper, is this a problem or just growing up?

Their voices change as they grow out of their chick stage......do you have a picture of your chicken in question? I have an 8 week leghorn cockerel that has been crowing for over a week now, but still “peeps“ with his baby voice when foraging.

Are you certain they are all hens. I know all my young roos have a deeper peup than the hens

My pullets voices started changind around that time. They went from the cute little peeps to the deeper clucks. One of my buff orps sounded like a goose with a weird honking. She still has a super deep voice at 23 weeks now.

Based on the hackle feathers, saddle feathers and amber coloring on the shoulders/wings, I would say you have a handsome cockerel! However, his comb does not look very red in those photos.......

They're loosing their peeps and getting their adult voices.

I have a young 3 month old Rhode Island White that was trying to crow yesterday. He sounded so funny. He was squeaking.
