I really didn't want to vomit my chicken but it happened anyway. I was massaging her crop (I believe we're dealing with sour crop) and when I picked up she just started spewing. I quickly held her upside down like I've seen others do, but I wasn't in any way prepared for it.

I'm worried if some might have gotten into her windpipe and what signs there might be if it did. She seems to be breathing normally, she's a little more alert and active then before, although she still doesn't want to eat.

What should I be looking out for? Is there even anything I could do if she started showing signs?

If she's breathing normally, then likely she did not aspirate fluids.
Are you still treating her for Sour Crop as indicated in your other thread?

Thank you for responding, but unfortunately she passed away last night. I'm not sure exactly what the root cause of her crop problems were but her crop just would not empty no matter what I tried. Today has just been about dealing with the heartbreak and trying not to feel too down on myself.

:hugs I'm sorry for your loss.

It can be hard losing them when you have tried everything you know to do. Sometimes a bird with a crop issue has a lot more going on internally and they just are not able to overcome it.
