My hard-luck chicken, Dorothy, has been a bit lethargic, not eating, and her comb is starting to turn dark on the tips. Last Fall she was caught by a dog, but I was able to nurse her back to health, although she has a large area from a puncture wound that the others starting pecking again lately. She looks like she's moulting (they all are scraggly) and tonight when I picked her up and held he bottom up to inspect the wound, she vomited water. It was clear, and it smelled somewhat, though not super bad. I don't know what "normal" chicken puke smells like, so...
I think she may be dying. I brought her into the house to stay warm & un-bullied. Any ideas what the problem might be? What is a dark comb indicative of?
Oh, she's a year old RIR.
