Chicken vomiting water?

my 3 year old hen was acting strange and laying in the coop door which she hasn’t done since she was a baby and she didn’t even run when I brought food. I picked her up and just gently squeezed her crop to see if she’d eaten something and she ended up vomiting water twice from me just gently prodding it. For context… it has been raining all day and I believe she may have drank puddle water which shouldn’t be an issue regularly. She even denied eating a grape which is just so unbelievable because she LOVES grapes… all her other flock mates ate and she nibbled a little scratch

Chickens don't vomit so that's coming out of her crop. It could be from drinking like you said, but it also might be a crop issue. I've not had crop issues but here are two excellent BYC articles about them.

I'd check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink. If the crop is not empty, then address that symptom according to the article linked below.

Does she lay eggs? If so, did she lay an egg recently?
