Chicken w/bald spot and/or growth?

I found blood on an egg and when I flipped my 4 year-old Australorp Bella over, I found what looked like a poopy mess with no blood.
We cleaned the area, removed some broken shell that was stuck to her and we think we pulled a maggot off of her too. The pics below are what it looks like after being rinsed off.
I sent the pics to a veterinarian friend who said it looks like a tumor. Do y’all agree?
Besides letting me catch her, she’s been acting normal. Her comb and waddle are a good color. She’s eating and drinking. After cleaning the area, she’s going slow and her feathers are puffed up. (I would be too!)
My 6 year-old Australorp Hermione (her mama) looks and acts healthy. She has been sticking close to Bella though.
Besides rinsing off the area, I haven’t done anything else because I’m not sure what to do and we have no chicken vets in my area.
Please help me if you can. I would appreciate it.

That looks bad….
Have you considered treating her for fly strike, since you say you saw a maggot?

I'm sorry about your hen.

To me, it looks like her intestines are showing. I would suspect maggots have invaded that abdominal cavity and eaten away healthy tissue.

If she were mine, I'd put her down.

Wait, that can happen? Well, that might explain why the quail with one buttcheek died after a week of having said injury…….(yea, I know quail don’t technically have buttcheeks, but what else do you call the side of a quail closest to the vent? I still don’t know how she hurt herself to begin with….)

We made the decision to euthanize her. She crossed the rainbow bridge this morning.
The vet said she had a tumor and it looks like there was an open wound from it which caused the flystrike. My poor girl was a hot mess before she started showing signs of distress. She was one tough bird!
Thanks again for all of the responses. I would be lost without you.

I am sorry you lost her

It is important to always keep their butts clean and dry to avoid deadly flystrike in warmer temperatures.
You can trim overabundant butt fluff to prevent any poop from getting stuck.
