chicken waterers

I use a two gallon rubber bowl in the run. In the winter when it freezes, I can just flip it over and step on it to get the ice out.

I I also use the one gallon ones for feed. They are the years old and going strong. Easy to wash, as well ( as if the chickens care, they like to drink it after I dump it on the ground.

I'm trying to come up with a new watering system for my chicken coop. The plastic ones from the feed store are not working anymore for me. What are your opinions on the nipple waterers? Are they hard for the chickens to learn how to use? Are there any other options? Show me your guys waterers and let me know about the nipple one. Thanks

I saw a YouTube video that instructs to use a laser pointer to the nipples to get chickens to start pecking at them. Once chickens understand that there's water available, they keep pecking to drink.
