Ever been to one? There is one tomorrow near me and I'm thinking about going. What do they do? Maybe I'll come home with some new babies!

I've been to several. They are a lot of fun to got to. Generally what it sold there are chickens, pigeons, ducks, along with pheasants and peafowl. You might also find rabbits and other forms of livestock like goats and sheep if they are permited to the swap. The area the swap is in can also dictate what is sold. Sometimes swaps are help at the end of a poultry show or they are held by themsleves. It's kinda like a swap meet or neighborhood garage sale only with birds.
I would be prepared before you go. Make sure you have cold hard cash in all demoninations and take carriers, cages, or a box for babies. It is best to kind of have a plan for what you want or need. This helps you stay focused on your goal instead getting distracted by all of the really cool things. If you are planning on bringing home chicks, make sure you have a brooder on and all set to go for when they arrive back at your place. This way, the babies don't have to wait for you to get one together and get it warm. They will be stressed enough as it is.
One huge helpful hint: if you find something you really want and think to yourself "I'll look around first then come back to get it", don't!! If it is a good swap and a good animal, chances are the bird or animal will be gone by the time you come back around. I myself give my self a first walk through to look to see what is being offered. If I chance upon "the" bird, then I'll buy it right then and there. If the bird is something I like, then I might come back around and if the bird is still there after I've looked around, then I'll buy it.

The swap near you sounds really cool, I'd go just to see what is meant by Wild Game-if anything other then turkeys, pheasants, chuckers and the like- show up!
