i cant afford anything else... BUT!! we do have electric wire fencing.. where and how high do i put it?

my run is enclosed with chicken wire... how high do i put the electric wire?

I run a strand along the bottom about 3 inches above the ground then go up the side and around the top. Good luck! Hope your set up works.

why around the top?

Just incase you have a climbing predator that gets by the bottom strand. I have welded wire around the bottom but the top of my coop only has chicken wire. I just don't trust it to keep out coons so my hope is that the top strand will keep knock them off the wire if they try getting chewing through up top.

Use the longer insulators so the wire doesn't get grounded out too easily on the chicken wire.
