Chicken wire

Hi,

I know this subject has been addressed but it's not clear to me. On the pen fencing again.
I have a coop and I want to enclose it in a pen so the chickens will be safe during the day when they are locked up. I read that the 1x2 welded wire would work and to bury it 12inches. That is all fine but the talllest I can find is 5 foot....so that means it will only be 4 foot.....I was kinda thinking about walking in the pen so I was hoping for at least a 6' tall wire fencing plus the buried foot.....If I need to mesh two pieces together what would I use to do that?
So how do I accomplish that. Any suggestions. Also what is suggested for over top to keep a predator from dropping in off my deck.

Thanks for any advice.....or if you know where to get 7 ft tall fencing that would be helpful too. I live in Michigan.

Question:

When connecting together two sheets of Chicken Wire, how far apart do you apply the connectors (hog rings, zip ties, etc)
