chicken with a cold?

what should I do for a chicken that sounds like it has a stuffed up nose? a hankicheif?

Hi!

Any other symptoms? Is your chicken eating and drinking and still active? If the stuffy nose is all it has, then I would just give it some vitamins/electrolites in the drinking water. If it would get worse....like the chicken seems to be unusually still, with it's feathers puffed up, then I would put some duramayacin in the drinking water too. That's a good antibiotic to start with. You can go stronger depending on the severity of the cold.

When holding one my 3 week old chicks tonight I noticed some droplets of water(?) on my hand. I think she has a runny nose. When you say add electrolytes or vitamins how much do you add? What electrolytes and what vitamins??? Thanks so much, I am worried.
