Chicken with a swollen pad & limping

My 6 month old pullet, Pumpkin. is hardly bearing weight on her right foot. It started within the past couple of hours. The pad of her foot feels swollen but I do not see a definite puncture spot. Besides a strain or sprain, what could it be? Any suggestions on how to help? She is eating & drinking. Thank you for your help!!!

Does the foot or leg feel unusually hot anywhere? The toe circled in my picture looks a bit weird in the pic, is that just the angle?

Not that foot, the other. She just has a weird toe or it is the angle


The pad does not feel warm though.

I am going to say that she pulled a muscle or tendon, if it is really causing her problems you can put her in a chicken sling, a simple search on the site will give you an idea of how they look. The only other thing i can suggest is to give her leg a soak in warm water.
