Just an update. Cap'n Jack is doing much better!!!

They eye was not directly damaged as I thought. The infection was in the conjunctiva and came out mostly on its own with me flushing it 2xday and then putting in the ointment and giving oral amox. drops 2x a few hrs after the flush The eye is just got a little cloudy film over the lens and has almost shrunk back down to normal size.He even reacts to movement on that side!
