Chicken with eye problem not eating and drinking much

I first noticed that her eye was just closed and she has been staying up in the coop all day. She has barely been eating and drinking. I noticed this morning, her eye is bulging out and really goopy.

I now have her moved away from our other chickens and she is actually drinking and eating more now. Any ideas? Do we need to get rid of her?

I can't comment much on thr eye infection. But check it over really well I once has a girl with a wheat thistle in her eye socket, swelled up really nasty and runny. Once we removed it i put antibiotic ointment over her eye for 3 days and she was back to normal...
But sometimes eye infections can be respiratory infections especially in chickens. It's always best to seperate a chicken at the first sign of anything being not right as 1 of its contagious you want to limit flock contact, and 2 of it gets out of control you can have pecking issues
