chicken with floppy crest and soft egg shell

[Please help me]

hi there,
I have a 8 month old chicken, and I recently noticed that her comb is very floppy, also this morning she (we think it was her) layer an egg with a soft shell, she other ways looks healthy. there was some black scabby stuff on her comb a week or so ago but over the past week it has disappeared. any help would be greatly appreciated. I can include pics if that would help anyone.

We are sorry you are so worried. Pictures almost always help. What do you feed them? Might need extra calcium. Besides oyster shells, if you do have some hard eggshells you could crush them & feed back to them. Crush a tums into her feed. One of my girls have a floppy comb, not sure if that's something to worry about. I wish you the best of luck finding help to ease your mind.
