Chicken with hurt leg

I read on here that giving your chickens ploy-vi-sol with help them heal better. I have a chicken that has a hurt leg, no sign of a broken leg. She's always jumping all over the place. So my question is how much do I give her? And how? In her peak? Or her water? And why exactly does this work.

Some leg problems can be caused by a vitamin deficiency, so the first course of action is to give extra vitamins in case that's the reason for the problems. Also sometimes vitamins can boost the immune system, and can help with stress.

I personally have never used them so I can't comment on use or dosage.
