Chicken with leg injuriy

We live in a suburb of Los Angeles and raising chickens in back yard. Last night as we got home after dark, the chickens attempted to fly out of the coop- I found them perched on top of the square version of chicken wire (very small and hard to get on). One is fine, but the other one is walking like it is labored and then just sits down. I touched all of her legs and moved them around and she didn't show any tenderness, but still responds the same way when put down. Any advise is welcomed- I feel bad because these are my sons special chickens.

Have you checked the hip joint movement. If it seems intact (not broken) try taking it gently to the end of its motion. If it flinches or pulls back, it may have sprained its hip. If not, do the same at the knee and ankle and toes. Hope you find it.

Thanks for the advice- luckly, I think it was a sprain or strain, because she is up again and eating blackberries like a fiend.
