My pet rooster Mr.Mini has had chicken lice for about two months now. I can't seem to get rid of them. I've tried diatomaceous earth for pets but it doesn't work. Also I have been trying to get him to dust bathe to help get rid of them, but he won't.

DE helps prevent an infestation but does nothing to rid one. Go get either poultry dust or sevin 5%. Clean the coop really good, throw out any bedding where the chickens can't get to it, dust all birds everywhere except the head, and repeat in 7 days. Giving them a bath before dusting to rid them of some of the bugs is also a good idea but not necessary. Make sure they are dry before you dust them.
