chicken with nodules on feet?

Hen was lethargic, and sleepy. Her feet were covered with pea sized nodules, some were brownish. Some were scraped and bleeding, perhaps she pecked at them? She also had some small bumps within her wattles. No discharge from nostrils or eyes or mouth. Any idea what this might be?

Sadly, we thought it best to end her suffering. It could have been fowl pox, but the size of the bumps looked larger than the pictures I saw. Thanks for answering. Do fowl pox lesions start from within the tissues as a bump and then grow outward to the skin, or do they start on top of the skin? Cause the bumps inside her wattles did not show on the surface.
