chicken with open wound

well I checked the other 2 chickens and trimmed the bigger one's feathers to keep her clean... she was not amused... the other is a silkie but she keeps her butt very clean always has and then attacked my ankle once I set her down... little chicken BIG attitude... 😅.I didn't get the chance to either put her down or attempt any further treatment she died overnight. Thank you for responding to my post... it may not be anything I ever would have expected or wanted for the old girl but up til now she had a good long life i'm not sure of her exact age but i'm guessing between 6 -8 years... she will be greatly missed but i'm glad shes not hurting now.
I am sorry you lost her.

well unfortunately I guess my clip job wasn't good enough... the other large hen now has flystryke too.... thank God I
caught this one early on... she has a spot that I originally thought was her vent but turned out to be on her belly.... rushed her inside and its a bit bigger than a quarter but nowhere near as deep.... how much epsom salt to how much water? I already got em off her but they were still alive *skincrawl*.trimmed more feathers.... got grumbled at further... thankfully shes walking around and hopefully should be fine x.x I wish I knew what makes this year different.... we have had fly issues before but they have never ever bothered my chickens.... I have her in the house... infact have had to put her in a great big carrier so she will stay put... which is a relief 😅🫣...where do I get antibiotics for her? i'm not sure there's a vet here that would see a chicken. I have a antibacterial/antifungal spray from when she had bumblefoot and sprayed that on there for tonight. i've been checking the chickens and my goose every night and she was fine last night and my goose and last chicken standing the silkie with ATTITUDE are ok atleast for tonight. I have a plethora of fly traps but I guess its going to take more 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a goose in with my chickens and some young ducks that haven't navigated outdoors yet..... can they get flystrike too or is it just the chickens I have to worry about?
