Chicken With Partly Black Comb Normal?

I have some black chickens that are rounding about a year or so old now. When I purchased them as chicks, they had black combs and grew black waddles, etc. After around six or so months most of them had their combs and waddles slowly turn red. One of them however (Onyx) has a sort of half black half pinkish comb, and I am wondering if this is normal? It's been like this for some time now, but it does have me wondering? It's not as if she went from black to red, and then started turning black, it's just always been sort of stuck in a half state. She lays good and from what I can tell seems fine otherwise.

Look like it's just her coloring.
She has gold in her feathers? She would be a mix, not a BA.

I didn’t know BA had black combs/wattles. My BA’s is bright red. Is it because she’s a hatchery bird?

Tractor Supply chickens so who knows, but they were labeled black australorp at the store? Many of them have gold edges on their feathers, particularly on the chest.

Hmmmm, my BA is a solid black. So black she has a green sheen to her.

Yeah they have the green/blue sheen, some of them even purple, but also the splash of gold. I'll have to get some pictures of all of them together.

Yeah they have the green/blue sheen, some of them even purple, but also the splash of gold. I'll have to get some pictures of all of them together.

Splash of gold would likely be Black Sex Link or whatever the hatchery they came from calls (names) their particular line of black sex links.
Often times chicks are shipped in very large crates with just a simple cardboard divider to keep breeds separate. Chicks could look very similar and be easy to mix up in the store.
If she is happy, healthy, eating/drinking, laying eggs, etc. enjoy the heck out of her.
