Chicken with red eye.

Eye bubbles can be a sign of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG,) a chronic respiratory disease. I would try and get the Terramycin ointment to apply in the eye twice a day. Tylan 50 or Tylosin can be effective against symptoms of MG.

She is separated from the other chickens because she appears sick. We will be taking her to the vet. She has bubbly eyes now so I want to get her seen.

Yes, thank you. I had some before with the respiratory problem a year or so ago. They got through it thankfully. So hopefully this sweet chicken will get through this as well.

I had a rooster with one red eye and the other was swollen shit and puss coming out. It had been pecked in the one eye land the red eye was bubbling. I cleaned it out three to four times a day and put taramycn ointment in both eyes and kept in a separate cage for about two weeks. Both eyes got better. It was confusing but I realized afterwards I had two separate things going on. When he got fiesta and tried to escape when it was time for his treatment the first time, I was very happy, cuz I knew he was getting better. He’s totally back to himself now and ready to go outside again. Great suggestion, worked wonders for my rooster.
