Chicken with redness around eyes

I have a buff orpington hen that has saggy or drooping eyelids (top and bottom) and redness on all of the comb, and skin around the eyes.
The other hens are not picking on her. She sometimes stays in the hen house more than the others do. I have pictures but do not know how or if I can post them here.
All of the chickens are 5 months old. All the other hens have light colored combs and skin.
Any help will be appreciated.

Buy some VetRX from the feedstore and look at the directions for eye worms and sinus.

I'm going to crawl out on a limb and say that will be your first layer. At 5 months, she's probably getting hormones kicking in which includes redding of the face and growth of the comb/wattles.

Thanks for writing this way back when in 09. It's good to think about the normal before disease. My 3 month old BO's have this now, too but it "waxes and wanes" If she gets excited, it gets more red. When she is sleeping it goes back to white. Chickens blushing!

Hello. I know this was posted 6 years ago ... But thought I would give it a shot. Anyhow, did you ever find out what caused this? I currently have aan orp with the same problem :'(
