Chicken With Runny Nose

Well, pudgy or not, I worry what is going to happen when we stop the antibiotics tomorrow. Worried and praying that they all recover and do well. I know it's unusual, but these ladies are my pets. They are fabulous and I adore them!

I hear you, my friend....yesterday, my husband was out in the chicken yard with me as I let them out of the coop, and he counted them as they ran out the door. He exclaimed, "Ten chickens!" I started crying immediately, and sobbed, "But I wanted twelve!"
I do indeed miss Lily and Paddy. And I think that the girls know that someone is gone.

I know how that feels. I have lost two chicks since we started raising chickens---It broke my heart both times. You get so attached to them! They are all so precious and each have unique personalities. I'm sorry you lost your two birds and hope all the rest recover. Hoping and praying for you too!

Still runny noses on all the birds! Off the antibiotics for a week now. Still laying great and eating and drinking fine. The occasional sneeze from the two snottiest of the chickens, but no other symptoms. It's been over 3 weeks now since the runny noses started----how long could this go on?!?
