Chicken with split tonails that are growing straight upwards! Please help!

Hey, everyone! I really need help with this. My buff laced Polish rooster named Dusty has always had his toenails growing straight upwards. I never really took notice until he started limping. Now I am concerned. Will he be okay?

you cant do anything about it... i would wait... if they get ripped out... that sucks, but if he is in serious pain you might have to do it yourself. then when the new nails start to grow have something on his toes that keeps them down so they grow normal... sounds painfull... poor birdy. Chickens bleed to death really easy... i dont really know what opptions you have here... sorry wish i could help.
