Chicken with tail down due to cold?

I have a small breed chicken that was doing fine until the temp went from almost 40 F to -10 F in less than 24 hours. She went from looking fine to standing with her tail down. She is eating and drinking (eating snow too) well and runs for treats as usual. No loss of appetite. It started 5 days ago. Could the cold bother her that much? She is 3.5 years old and never acted that way due to the cold. Thank you.
