Chicken with THICK legs

Our Wyandotte’s legs are THICK, compared to the other 2 Wyandottes and rest of the chickens. I’m not sure if it’s really bumble foot or if she’s just special. Anyone have any leads on what’s going on?

Check the bottom of her feet for anything that looks like a scab or lump of dirt.

Are her hock joints swollen as well? Mycoplasma synovitis (MS) can cause swollen ankles and hocks. That is a bacterial infection of the joints, and may cause mild respiratory symptoms, or none at all. Osteopetrosis or marble leg syndrome is a type of lymphoid leukosis, and the legs are thick and hard. Is this hen mixed with any other breeds, such as a cornish?
